In a world where social distancing is the new normal and we can’t all get together to celebrate it is even more important to find wonderful ways to show that we care and to let people know that we are thinking of them.
Postman Harrison Lea, colloquially told ITV that this has been the “busiest I’ve ever seen it” more so than Christmas. There are numerous articles on people finding comfort in reconnecting with people, volunteers writing to the elderly to let them know that they are not alone, and when you can’t get to the shops to buy birthday or anniversary cards, people can head to their friendly independent online card shops to get what they need and make their loved ones feel cared for.
Of course, it’s not just cards. We have had a huge surge in people ordering party balloons and decorations for celebrations they are holding during lockdown. Going that little extra mile to send a friend banners and balloons for her baby shower before you all turn up on a zoom call, or decorating your kitchen with number themed plates, napkins and balloons for your child to come downstairs to on the morning of their birthday are just a few ways to show those special people that you are trying your best in the face of this current adversity.
So have a look around the site, choose little things to make someone feel special and we will send it along with a lovely handwritten note to make someone’s day a little brighter.
