How do you still plan a party during lockdown?

lockdown pandemic party plan

Planning a party takes a lot of work, and since lockdown has happened, shops have shut and people aren’t allowed to get together, celebrating a special occasion has taken on a whole new level of complexity.

However, all is not lost, it’s time to get a little creative! Having video call parties and catch ups have become the ‘new normal’ and therefore we at Send a Wish, have created party packs for you to either send to the person celebrating to decorate their background, or for all of you to open onscreen together, as if you were all in the same room.

We came up with these because we have had celebrations in lockdown, and we wanted to make our loved ones feel special.

I had a baby shower, so we sent the mummy to be a sash, some bunting and some baby balloons, so that she felt more special during the party and also, it was a way of showing that we cared. I have also celebrated a few hen parties over lockdown too. It’s a really fun way of bringing everyone together if you send all the hens a party bag, to be opened when you’re all on video call. You can have all the traditional fun things in there and send some dares and scavenger items too, everyone wears their sashes and have balloons in the background, as if you were all together. Have a look at our party packs on site or send us a chat message and we can help cater to your needs.

Celebrating a milestone birthday during lockdown is also tough for a lot of us. Lots of friends have had to cancel their parties that they have taken time and energy to plan, and it’s also disappointing not getting everyone all together to celebrate with you. Help is at hand with our milestone birthday packs which you can buy for yourself or send to your friends, so that you can have some of the fun you planned on that special day.

One of the biggest events to postpone during lockdown has got to be your wedding. The painstaking lengths a couple go through to get that day just right, all to then be postponed must be devastating and entirely out of anyone’s control. We have a range of lovely cards that you can send the couple to tell them you’re thinking of them, and we have some wedding packs created for them  and their guests if they are celebrating the day anyway, albeit via video link, to try and make their day a bit more special.

So, whatever it is that you’re celebrating during lockdown, it’s safe to say, it’s not going to be the day that was originally planned. However, it can be a wonderful day all the same, so Send a Wish, and show them you care.
